Koei Delays PS3 Launch Titles
Don't expect to see Fatal Inertia or Bladestorm on shelves when the console debuts in March.
Sony is expected to reveal its launch plan for the PlayStation 3 in Europe next week but already we're seeing potential launch games drop off the table.
Koei said on Wednesday both Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War would miss their planned release alongside the hardware and will instead arrive sometime during the summer.
The company says it will be working on both games until then to ensure the "highest levels of quality possible".
Bladestorm is a retelling of the carnage of the Hundred Years War, when trouble in 14th century France spilled over into the rest of the region in a full-scale medieval conflict.
Fatal Inertia was Koei's first confirmed PS3 game. It's an anti-gravity racer originally slated to launch alongside the system. The long delay suggests that the company ran into development problems, something the company has declined to comment on.
