Bizarre Creations Goes Boom on Live
New music-'n'-fireworks game from the Project Gotham Racing developer - and it's being published by EA.
British developer Bizarre Creations, the creator of the Project Gotham Racing series, was also behind the first hit Xbox Live Arcade game, Geometry Wars Retro Evolved. Now the company is giving it another go, only this time for EA.
Boom Boom Rocket was actually conceived by designers at Pogo.com, a specialist in mainstream-friendly casual games, and the task was handed to Bizarre to bring the idea to reality.
The game is a mix of music and fireworks - literally. You time pyrotechnic explosions to 10 original songs created just for the game while moving through a virtualized city. The better your timing is, the prettier the explosions.
As with most Xbox Live Arcade titles, you'll find a couple modes to extend the experience and a nod to multiplayer too, though that is tethered to the console for this game.
Boom Boom Rocket should be on the Xbox Live Marketplace sometime this spring.
