War Spreads in Battlefield 2142 Booster
More shooting of the in-your-face variety in the expansion of EA's futuristic game. First screens.
Even in the future, war is a messy business that lasts far longer than people expect. That seems to be the message in EA's revelation that it is working on an expansion pack to its futuristic military team shooter Battlefield 2142.
The battle for land is everything in Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike, which sees warring European and Pan-Asian factions duking it out for control of parts of Europe.
The game will come with the usual upgrades, such as more weapons and vehicles, and there are also three new maps. Expect a more in-your-face experience, as Kristoffer Bergqvist of developer Digital Illusions explains:
"Our number one goal with Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike was to give fans more of the close-quarters combat, increased persistence and new toys they've been asking for."
Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike will be out for PC in March.
