Crackdown Demo Out This Week
The demo is geared up for release just as the game heads off to the duplication plant.
The demo for Realtime Worlds open-world action game Crackdown was supposed to be available last week, but that came and went without any sign of it. After a slight delay that saw the demo go through the final stages of certification, the Crackdown taster is finally coming to the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The demo will be available for download from 10.00am GMT on Tuesday, 23 January, according to a blog post from Microsoft's European community manager, Graeme Boyd.
As luck would have it, that's exactly a month before the game hits. Microsoft confirmed on Monday that Crackdown has come out of development and will be in stores on 23 February.
Crackdown is the first Xbox 360 from ex-Grand Theft Auto designer Dave Jones. Jones and his team in Scotland at Realtime Worlds have created a game where you play a supercop in a gang-riddled city. There's a bullet-heavy first-person game and also co-operative modes you can share with a friend on Xbox Live.
Look for our full preview of Crackdown later this week.
