SCi Reveals Just Cause Sequel
Regime change worked well enough the first time around that the publisher is giving the series another go.
The hype surrounding Eidos's Just Cause came and went quickly enough that you'd be forgiven for thinking that the game didn't do particularly well. Far from it.
The open-world action game was released last September on the Xbox 360 and last-gen consoles. By this summer Eidos-owner SCi expects it to hit a million sales, reports MCV. And with that success fresh in its mind, the company has revealed that a sequel is in the works.
Apart from the revelation that it's coming, there's nothing else known about the game.
Just Cause takes a page from sandbox games such as Grand Theft Auto. It stars Rico Rodriquez, a suave government agent with a penchant for regime change, who parachutes into a hostile South American island nation to deliver fiery justice.
