Early Access to Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Sony Online Entertainment would like to remind you that MMO doesn't mean just World of Warcraft.
With the open-beta for Vanguard: Saga of Heroes having come to a close this week and the game due in mere days, things are starting to come together for Sony Online Entertainment's new venture.
Developed by Sigil Games Online, a studio formed by breakaways from the EverQuest team, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is SOE's latest stab at the increasingly popular massively multiplayer online game genre it helped establish and that is currently dominated by World of Warcraft.
Players who pre-ordered the game in-store or online will be able to get a first run on the live servers in an early access phase starting on Friday, 26 January. Servers have been allocated to regions around North America and Europe, but players won't be forced to stick with servers in their area.
Vanguard is set in the divided world of Telon. Under siege and faced with the challenge of restoring a ruined civilisation, Telon needs you to stand up and be a hero. You can find out more about the game at www.vanguardsoh.com.
