Castlevania, More Head to Live Arcade
Microsoft reveals 10 new games coming to the service over the coming months. Screens inside.
Things have quietened down on the Xbox Live Arcade this year so far but Microsoft is looking to change that in a big way. The company said this week that it's preparing another 10 games for the system.
The most notable for longtime gamers is Konami's Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, previously one of the most critically successful games on the PlayStation. But there's much more too, including a new Worms game, a second instalment of Luxor and an HD bumped version of Alien Hominid.
Exactly when Xbox 360 owners will be able to get at all this new content is something Microsoft is keeping to itself for now, but we do know the first game is due in February.
Below is a rundown of the games coming to the Xbox Live Arcade over the coming months:
- 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures (Sierra Online) - 36 holes of arcadey golf
- Alien Hominid HD (The Behemoth) - HD update of cartoon action game
- Band of Bugs (NinjaBee) - fast-paced tactical strategy game
- Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night (Konami) - whip-heavy actioner
- Catan (Microsoft) - remake of the strategy board game
- Eets: Chowdown (Klei Entertainment) - 120 levels of marshmallow action
- Luxor 2 (MumboJumbo) - action puzzler sequel set in ancient Egypt
- Paperboy (Midway) - deliver papers on your bike
- Root Beer Tapper (Midway) - tap the sweet stuff to keep customers happy
- Worms (Team 17) - worms with weapons out for wiggling blood
