Castlevania Classics Whipped Onto PSP
Not only is the PSP getting Symphony of the Night but there's a remade version of Dracula X: Rondo of Blood too. First screens.
Castlevania fans gobbled up Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and its 2D successors on Game Boy Advance and DS but what many of them really wanted was a chance to play the game aficionados call the best in the series - Dracula X: Rondo of Blood. Their hopes have been fulfilled.
Konami said late last week that it is working on a new series instalment called Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP.
The game is actually more of a compilation of the series' best, since it includes not only an updated version of the richly praised Dracula X Rondo of Blood but also an untouched version of the game and the aforementioned Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
The graphics for Rondo of Blood are now presented in 3D, but the game retains the side-scrolling, 2D-esque gameplay that made the original version such a hit.
Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles should be out for the PSP this autumn.
