Half-Life 2: Ep Two Delayed to Autumn
Valve's Black and Orange boxes are further off from release than many thought.
One of the core features of episodic games is that they are supposed to come out more regularly than individual expansions or sequels - something Valve seems to be having trouble with for Half-Life 2.
The company announced on Wednesday that Half-Life 2: Episode Two will be out for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 only during autumn 2007.
Valve revealed in February 2006 that work was already well underway on Half-Life 2: Episode 2, which picks up right after Episode One. The game has since been confirmed as coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but no release date has been confirmed. The last action saw Valve delay the game to summer 2007. Even that won't happen now.
The PC version, dubbed the Black Box, includes Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 and Portal, while the Orange Box for consoles has all that and Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One.
