Free Casino Royale for First PS3 Buyers
Just the thing to make up for the delay and the decidedly unfriendly price point.
When the PlayStation 3 launched in the US in November Sony tried to sweeten the deal for the first buyers with a free copy of comedian Will Ferrell's latest movie Talladega Nights on Blu-ray. For the European launch this March, Sony is adding a touch of Bond.
The first 500,000 people in Europe who buy a PlayStation 3 and register it on the PlayStation Network will get a free copy of James Bond's latest flick Casino Royale, Sony said this week. The movie will be available in 1080p HD video with full, uncompressed audio.
It's not a new tack for Sony. When the PSP was released in Europe in 2005, the company gave the first people to register their PSPs at the official site a copy of Spider-Man 2 on UMD.
The PlayStation 3 will be out across Europe on 23 March.
