Chainsaw Gears of War Team on Live
This weekend you'll have a chance to tell Cliff Bleszinski exactly what you think of his game.
Cliff Bleszinski and his team at Epic Games slaved for years to bring you last year's crushing Xbox 360 shooter Gears of War and you'll be able to thank them this weekend by slicing them with a chainsaw.
Not for real, of course. Rather, on Saturday, 24 February, Bleszinski, Mark Rein and other Epic developers will be taking on Xbox 360 gamers in a developer showdown on Xbox Live.
The fracas is scheduled to begin at around 7.00pm UK time on 24 February and will run for two hours. To take part you need to add specially created Gamertags for the Epic staff to your friends list and then wait for an invitation to join a game.
All matches will be taking place on the new Raven Down and Old Bones maps - recently released on the Xbox Live Marketplace - and since these are the people who made the game, you're advised to practise.
You can find out more about the event at the developer showdown site.
To take part, add the following Gamertags to your friends list:
- EPICEMEACB - Cliff Bleszinski, lead designer
- EPICEMEAMR - Mark Rein, vice president
- EPICEMEARF - Rod Fergusson, producer
