Mercenaries 2 PS3 Exclusive No More
Ubisoft's blast-'em-up is coming to Xbox 360 and other platforms too.
Another PlayStation 3 exclusive is history. Following the trend set by Assassin's Creed and many more, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is no longer bound to the PS3. EA said this week that the action game would be coming to not only the PS3 but also to Xbox 360, PC and even PlayStation 2.
Developer Pandemic Games first announced Mercenaries 2 for the PlayStation 3 last year. There had been rumours of the game shifting to other platforms leading up to this week's announcement.
Speaking about the move, Pandemic's Andrew Goldman said: "All four platforms are incredible gaming machines, and from the beginning we designed an experience that accentuates their individual strengths and delivers the interactive freedom and explosive action Mercenaries fans demand."
Mercenaries 2 follows up on Pandemic's Xbox and PS2 action game from 2005 in which you played as soldiers of fortune with a penchant for destruction. The game will be out for PS3, Xbox 360, PS2 and PC this Christmas.
