Ocarina of Time on Wii, Neo-Geo Coming
Another re-release for what many call one of the best games ever made.
Occasionally Wii owners will turn on their consoles only to find little of interest in the weekly update of games available for the Virtual Console. This is not one of them. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a game widely regarded as one of the best games ever made, is now out for the console.
Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64 was the first time the Zelda series was playable in 3D, and almost immediately it was hailed as one of the most finely crafted games ever made. Now Wii owners can relive the experience through the Virtual Console, as the game is available for download for 1000 Wii Points, or around £7.
Joining it is another of Nintendo's NES hits, Kid Icarus, which is available for 500 Wii Points.
Nintendo also revealed this week that there are more systems coming to the Virtual Console. Joining the NES, Super NES, Nintendo 64, Mega Drive and Turbografx are the Neo-Geo and the MSX. These new systems have only been confirmed for Japan so far.
