Harrison Talks Resistance Content, Sequel
The PS3 shooter will be getting downloadable content this spring and if that works perhaps more.
Of all the games that helped ushered in the PlayStation 3 the one that probably got the most attention was Resistance: Fall of Man. The game will be ready for the European launch in March too, and Sony has confirmed that there will more stuff to play soon afterwards and probably even a sequel at some point.
Speaking to Newsweek's N'Gai Croal after their recent tête-á-tête at the D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas, Sony executive Phil Harrison said that there would be a download for Resistance in April.
"I don't think we've gone into detail on the schedule but we have some really, really cool things that will be extending the story, extending the locations, some brand new content, starting in April," Harrison said.
The game hasn't even been released in Europe yet but already some are wondering about a sequel for the game. Though Harrison didn't commit to one, he did say that the downloadable content would serve as a bridge.
"If [the content] works well and is well-received by the audience, then that will keep the engagement with game going between now and should there be a sequel at some point in the future."
