God of War Coming to PSP
Will Kratos end the portable's downward spiral?
It was only last week that Sony was saying that God of War on the PSP was a distinct possibility and now the existence of the game seems to have been outed - by the manual for God of War II.
Emblazoned on the back cover of the instruction manual for God of War II on PS2 is a PSP teaser that says the game will be out for PSP this year, says a report at Eurogamer.
The idea of a God of War game on the PSP has been floating about for quite some time. Recently, Cory Barlog, director of the latest PS2 instalment, told GameDaily:
"[God of War on PSP] would be awesome. I mean, I've been a big proponent of that concept for quite a while. I want it on every possible system you could put it on. I think it's definitely a possibility. It's not something we haven't discussed but it's not something we're actively discussing right now."
The developer reportedly handling the PSP version is Ready At Dawn, a new studio already working on Daxter on the portable for Sony.
Sony has yet to officially announce the game and declined to comment on this story.
