Warcraft Population Passes 8.5 Million
And Burning Crusade hasn't even made it to China yet.
Even though it's coming up on its third birthday, World of Warcraft is still drawing in new residents to its online realm of Azeroth, and for proof you need look no further than the latest numbers from the game's publisher.
This week Blizzard announced that the subscribing population of World of Warcraft has hit now surpassed 8.5 million.
Much of the resurgence in attention paid to the game is thanks to the Burning Crusade expansion pack, which sold more than 3.5 million copies in just its first month.
World of Warcraft's bulging community looks to grow bigger still, as Blizzard is working to translate Burning Crusade for release in China and other Far East countries later this year.
