Shivering Isles on Live in March
Ready your digital cash for a pounding.
Expect virtual wallets to groan later this month when 2K Games brings the most expensive - and expansive - Xbox 360 digital update so far with the first expansion pack for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Packing a promised 30 hours of new content, Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles for the Xbox 360 will be available only as a download from the Xbox Live Marketplace, and it's going to set you back 2,400 Microsoft Points (around £21), according to Bethesda's Todd Howard via a Q&A on the official message board.
But unlike the horse armour that so vexed Oblivion players with its 200 Microsoft Points price tag last year, Shivering Isles goes beyond the cosmetic. Developer Bethesda is adding a door to a whole new world based on the fragmented mind of Sheogorath.
Shivering Isles will be available to download for Xbox 360 (and PC too) on 27 March. For more on the game, check out our interview with Bethesda's Pete Hines.
