Zelda Classic A Link to the Past on Wii
And you can get hold of the first Castlevania too.
It's not just Sony fans who are getting the good stuff today. Nintendo revealed its latest batch of games for the Wii Virtual Console and it leads off with what critics have called one of the finest 2D games ever made.
Link's first Super NES adventure in Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was considered to be the culmination of the much-loved character's early adventures at its release 1992 and the intervening years have only seen more praise heaped on top of it. It's already been remade for the Game Boy Advance and now you can pick A Link to the Past up at the Wii Store for 800 Wii Points, or around £6.
Also new on the Virtual Console is Konami's very first NES Castlevania from 1988. While Xbox 360 fans nestle into Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on the Xbox Live Arcade, Wii owners will be able to step even further back into the series' past by downloading this 8-bit classic for 500 Wii Points (around £4).
