David Perry Wants You for His New Game
Wanna make a MMO racing game?
Development team sizes are exploding into the hundreds thanks to a glut of new technology available for making games. For David Perry, former head of Shiny and creator of such games as MDK and Enter the Matrix, that's just the beginning.
Perry is working on a new PC game that for the moment carries the working title Project Top Secret. True to its name, Perry and publisher Acclaim have been stingy with details, though Perry's PR company did reveal that it will be a driving game.
According to the official site, Project Top Secret is a massively multiplayer online game that will be created by its community. While many games give their players a chance to add to the finished product, Perry is asking the public to help him make his game, and he's already got more then 24,000 volunteers.
That's about as much as Acclaim and Perry are saying right now. People who have signed up have been told that they will find out more about the game within the next fortnight.
