Punch Out!! Smacks the Wii
The NES classic and more out for Virtual Console today.
Except for the odd legal hassle or facial modification, Mike Tyson isn't in the news too much these days. At least the game he inspired won't suffer a similar fate.
The Wii's steadily growing Virtual Console gained another three residents this week, the most prominent of them bring Punch Out!! (500 Wii Points), the NES classic where you duke your way through the ranks. Instead of a climactic face-off with Tyson, as in the original Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!, in this remake you'll fight the less carnivorous Mr Dream.
Other titles available from Friday on the Wii Ship include SNES action-adventure game Legend of the Mystical Ninja (800 Wii Points) and Dragon's Curse, 1990's Turbografx game in which you're transformed into a half-man-half-lizard and need to retrieve a charmed cross to turn you back.
Punch Out!! and the other two push the line-up for the Virtual Console to 69 games.
