Senko no Ronde Brings Bullet Hell to 360
G.Rev's beat-'em-up-cum-shoot-'em-up is due out on Microsoft's box next month.
The Xbox 360 isn't particularly known for its Japanese-style shooters - think ships, rather than guns - but Ubisoft is hoping that won't hold back its new game for the system.
WarTech: Senko no Ronde is something of a mix between one-on-one arcade fighters and shoot-'em-ups of the style that have all but gone extinct. The game is the handiwork of G.Rev, a hardcore-focussed studio in Japan that until recently was still making games for the Dreamcast.
Characters in mech suits fight high above cityscapes, blasting each other using main and secondary weapons. There are also barriers and boss transformations that add strategy to the bullet hell.
Apart from the story and time attack modes, players will also be able to take their anger online on Xbox Live.
Ubisoft will release WarTech: Senko No Ronde for Xbox 360 in the UK on 25 May.
