Golf, Gyruss Head to Xbox Live Arcade
Another of Yoshiki Okamoto's early arcade games is headed to XBLA.
Long before he was making action games for Sony, Genji creator Yoshiki Okamoto was better known for his exploits in the arcade. There was Street Fighter II, of course, but even further back was tube-shooter Gyruss, which is coming this week to the Xbox Live Arcade.
So what can you expect for your 400 Microsoft Points (£3.40) from the third of Okamoto's arcade game to hit the Live Arcade? In addition to the screen-strafing gameplay that sees you blasting baddies while travelling between planets in our solar system and the choice of classic or upgraded graphics, there's also local and online multiplayer.
Similar features have been afforded the second game coming to the Xbox Live Arcade this week.
3D Ultra MiniGolf Adventures is the next Arcade game by Wanako, the studio that previously made Assault Heroes for the service. The golf game has 36 holes and up to four people can play together. It will cost 800 Microsoft Points (around £7).
Gyruss and 3D Ultra MiniGolf Adventures will be available for download from the Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday, 18 April.
