God of War II Rules in the UK
And the DS makes its presence felt.
Sony has been in the news for a lot of reasons this year but this week it's game sales that matter, and those are very much in the company's favour.
God of War II strolled right into the No. 1 spot on the UK chart, bettering the debut of its forebear nearly two years ago. But Sony was serving more than just its hardcore fanbase.
Two of the company's broad-appeal series, Buzz! and SingStar, also saw new releases on Friday and both took up positions in the Top 20.
The DS is on a roll again too. Six of the top 20 games are exclusive to Nintendo's portable, that list being headed by the latest Pokémon game. On the console side, Wii owners are turning back to Wii Play, the mini-game compilation that also includes a Wii remote.
