BioWare Mum on Mass Effect Release Date
But it sounds like the Xbox 360 RPG is coming together nicely.
Canadian developer BioWare is making good progress on its eagerly awaited Xbox 360 RPG Mass Effect, the team's first console game since 2005's Jade Empire on the Xbox. But the team says it isn't yet confident enough to give out a release date for the game.
"We're still at a stage where we can't commit," Casey Hudson, project director at Bioware, wrote on the company's IGN blog.
Hudson also wrote about BioWare's approach to squads in Mass Effect. Players will control groups of three characters because that number opens the game up to more options, where one player can be split off from the other pair and there's more choice involved.
"Though there's a big difference in the group dynamic between two and three, not much new happens with four or more," he wrote.
