Crackdown DLC: Some Free, Some Not
Realtime Worlds dives back into its hit Xbox 360 action-platformer with tons of new content.
Are you ready for more Crackdown, Agent? Realtime Worlds is hoping you are. The developer has been busying away over the past few months on three new content download, detailed on the blog of Microsoft's Larry Hryb.
First is the free game update, which polishes a few aspects players had some problems with. One of the most welcome will surely be a new audio cue that lets you know where the last 20 per cent of Agility Orbs are. Ditto for the last half of the hidden orbs. The update also makes it easier to find vehicle stunt markers and lets you reset all the gangs in the main campaign mode.
Second we have the first of two download packs. Free-For-All is the free one and it unlocks a new mode where you can set up the campaign mode however you please. Want to be able to pick up a certain car in a certain area? Just do it. You can also park your favourite cars at the Agency garage for storage.
Last up is the Getting Busy pack, which will cost 800 Microsoft Points (around £7). This gets you three new vehicles (buggy, race car and armoured vehicle) and also adds a new race mode, where up to 12 players (including you and a co-op partner) can race around the city. There are four new weapons (and an invisibility cloak) and four new game types, including stockpile, where you race to collect the most orbs, and rocket tag.
Together the three new content downloads boost the Achievement count by 7, bringing the total to 50 and adding 350 Achievement points in the process.
The Crackdown updates will be available this week from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
