Mushroom Men Wage War on Wii, DS
Gamecock's fungal adventure is headed Nintendo's way.
Tired of the burden of mainstream game development, quirky publisher Gamecock Media is out to bring new experiences to the world.
One of these is Mushroom Men, a new game for Wii and DS that pits the titular fungi against all manner of backyard warriors as they struggle to survive.
The Wii and DS versions will offer unique experiences, each built around their respective control options. You play as a Bolete Mushroom Man, using everyday items strewn around your world - the backyard - as weapons to fend off attackers.
It's not just the gameplay that will be different on the two platforms. Developer Red Fly is crafting unique stories for the DS and Wii.
Don't get too excited though. Mushroom Men is still some way off. According to Gamecock, we won't be seeing any backyard fungal action until autumn 2008.
