Microsoft Dishes Out Halo 3 Stats
And we have the first details on new accessories too.
The online multiplayer beta test for Halo 3 got off to a bumpy start last month but that didn't scare away Xbox 360 owners who surged to see what Master Chief's next game will be like.
Between 16 May and the time the beta ended this week, more than 820,000 people went online to try out the game. Collectively they spent over 12 million hours playing. And they weren't just playing either. During the beta test, more than 580,000 saved films were made.
For Bungie, this represents a wealth of data that will be pored over so that the team can fine-tune the game for its release in September.
In addition to the statistics, Microsoft also revealed a few items ardent fans will be able to pick up later this year, including two styles of wireless controllers decked out in artwork by Spawn and Spider-Man artist Todd McFarlane and Halo-themed wireless headsets.
For now, though, all that's left for gamers to do is wait.
Halo 3 will be out for Xbox 360 on 26 September.
