BioWare Spins Sonic RPG
And you won't believe which platform it's coming for.
Canadian developer BioWare has built a name for itself as a maker of high-quality role-playing games, with titles such as Jade Empire and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic earning universal acclaim and Mass Effect looking to do likewise.
But for it's next game, the company is doing something a little different.
BioWare and Sega announced on Thursday that they are working together on a new RPG starring Sonic The Hedgehog. If that's not surprising enough, the game has been confirmed as an exclusive for the DS.
"As huge fans of Sonic ourselves, we're committed to delivering a truly amazing story-driven experience within the Sonic universe, focusing on capturing the character's broad appeal and placing him in a completely original adventure," BioWare's Ray Muzyka said in a press release.
That it's coming is about all we know right now for the new Sonic RPG. Neither company offered any more information other than that the game would be out on DS sometime during 2008.
