Geometry Wars Spreads to Galaxies
The Xbox Live Arcade game is headed Nintendo's way on DS and Wii.
Popular Xbox Live Arcade game Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved is branching out, with Surrey-based developer Kuju helping original creator Bizarre Creations to bring the game over to Wii and DS.
But Geometry Wars: Galaxies isn't just a port of the Xbox 360 hit. Writing on the game's blog, Bizarre's Ben Ward says the team "didn't just want to take the easy option".
He says the game has been expanded from the inside out, to make sure that the seed that helped it appeal so broadly wouldn't be lost.
"A game like Geometry Wars is all about the detail, and there is no way we were going to lose sight of that," Ward writes.
The Wii and DS versions of the game have both been tweaked to take advantage of the unique control options afforded by the hardware.
Along with the changes to the singleplayer, which will include new enemies and new and classic battle grids, you'll also be bale to play with or against others in multiplayer.
Geometry Wars: Galaxies will be out for Wii and DS this autumn.
