Sony Snubbed by Rockstar Over GTA IV
Find out why Rockstar's big game wasn't at the Sony press conference.
Microsoft made a noise about Grand Theft Auto IV and the two Xbox 360-exclusive downloadable chapters at its E3 press conference last week but the same could not be said for Sony.
It wasn't for lack of trying. Sony approached Rockstar about including footage of the game in its presentation, but according to Sony's Dave Karraker, the developer just never got back to them.
"We requested it [the trailer]. We sent an e-mail out to every publisher and said send us your videos that you want put in the press conference, and they never sent it," Karraker told 1UP last week.
Sony is reportedly in talks with Rockstar and parent company Take 2 about the game and how it will appear on the PlayStation 3, but for now all parties are keeping things quiet.
Rockstar, meanwhile, is showing off new builds of Grand Theft Auto IV to the press this week. Look for Kikizo's full coverage to continue soon.
