Rockstar Bullys Wii, Xbox 360
Yet another Wii game from the Grand Theft Auto studio.
A week ago Rockstar's support for the Wii seems to be in tatters, with Manhunt 2 the subject of controversy and no apparent chance of Grand Theft Auto IV making it to the console. But a lot can change in a week.
On Tuesday the company said that it would bring its popular ping-pong game, Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis, to the Wii. And on Thursday Rockstar confirmed Bully would be doing likewise.
The new release, Bully: Scholarship Edition, is coming to both Wii and the Xbox 360 this winter.
It's certain that there will be slight changes in the game, but right now Rockstar is keeping quiet, saying only that it would come with "additional new content".
The original Bully (Canis Canem Edit in the UK), which puts you in the loafers of a troubled kid at a posh boarding school, got beaming reviews (and courted some controversy) when it was released on PlayStation 2 in 2006.
The move to release Bully on more platforms could be seen as a way for embattled Rockstar parent company Take Two to wring more value out of its properties. Rockstar declined to comment on the reasoning behind the game's release.
