Heavenly Sword Demo This Week
Time to see for yourself what this much-hyped game is capable of.
Over the last 14 months PlayStation 3 owners and would-be buyers of the new console have been teased with clips of video and gameplay from Sony's in-house action game Heavenly Sword. This week, you'll be able to play it.
On Thursday Sony is putting up a demo of Heavenly Sword as a free download from the PlayStation Store.
Writing on Sony America's blog, Kyle Shubel, the producer responsible for the the UK-developed game, said the demo "is a great sample of what's in store and it'll certainly give you a good idea of the look and feel of the game".
The demo - around 10 or so minutes long, once you're used to the mechanics - is based on the most recent version shown at E3. It picks up with lead character Nariko going after bad-guy King Bohan, who has recently kidnapped her father, Shen, and is holding him at a large temple.
Heavenly Sword is being developed by Cambridge-based Ninja Theory. It is due for release on PS3 this September.
