Pokémon Primped for London Debut
Nintrendo's DS hit is finally coming to Europe.
Around the world, nearly 9 million people have already bought Nintendo's latest Pokémon games for the DS. This Friday, Europeans will get to add to those swelling ranks.
Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl will be having their big debut later this week in the UK, and to celebrate Nintendo is bringing in some pop stars.
On Thursday, Nintendo is holding a launch event at Hamley's in London, where 200 people will get to party with pop band McFly before taking home a copy of the game.
To be eligible for the event, you'll need to place a pre-order for either version at the Game inside Hamley's or at the company's flagship store on London's Oxford Street.
Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl bring to the DS the magical formula that has seen the series become a cultural phenomenon. The game has loads of new features, including 100 new creatures and the ability to play against and swap pokémon with people all over the world through the DS's wireless connection.
