Transformers Brings Robot War Home
Watch the movie, then play the game.
The childhoods of millions of people around the world will be brought to life this weekend with the opening of the new Transformers movie. Activision is right there too with a tie-in game that puts you in the bulky body of the robo-flick.
While the movie will play the goodie card out of necessity, Transformers: The Game leaves the moral anguishing up to you, letting you play as the messianic Autobots or the devious Decepticons in both their disguised and bipedal forms.
All your favourites are here, including Optimus Prime, Megatron and Starscream, though expect them to look closer to how they look in the Michael Bay flick than how you remember them from the '80s.
To keep the feeling consistent between the movie and the games, Activision has brought in the principle cast of the movie, including Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. Perhaps more importantly, the cast is joined by Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, who voiced Optimus Prime and Megatron in the original TV series.
Transformers: The Game is out now for all consoles, portables and the PC.
