Sony Dates Warhawk, Heavenly Sword
Plus tentative release details for a few others too.
Whether or not the PlayStation 3 needs a price cut is a matter of bloody debate these days. What's not in question is the need for more games. Sony is playing along, this week dating some of its biggest games for the year.
Coming in first is the multiplayer-only battle game Warhawk, which, according to sort-of-official Sony blog Three Speech, will be available as a download from the PlayStation Network on 28 August for £19.99 and in stores on 21 September for £39.99. The boxed game will come with a Jabra Bluetooth headset.
Those looking for fewer guns and more blades can look forward to Heavenly Sword. The hotly tipped action game will be out for PS3 on 14 September.
Other games creeping closer to release include Folklore, which has a tentative release date of 12 October, and Lair, headed to stores some time around 26 October.
One game that Sony isn't yet ready to get specific about is the PS3 debut of karaoke series SingStar. Other than telling Three Speech that the game is "on its way", the company was tight-lipped with any further details.
