Nintendo Dates New Zelda, Metroid Games
Not long now for these two big games for '07.
It's been a quiet summer for Wii owners but Nintendo is opening the floodgates soon, sending a torrent of entertainment their way over the coming months.
One of the biggest games of the season is Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, the final chapter in the current trilogy, which will arrive on the Wii at a lower-than-usual price of £35 on 26 October.
Corruption brings with it a whole new way of playing that is tied to the Wii remote. You'll pick up the story six months after the end of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes in a story tied closely to that dastardly villain Dark Samus.
Meanwhile, back on the popular DS, elfin hero Link is getting his gear together for his first game on the system.
Link's latest adventure in Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is all about the touch-screen, which you'll use to control all aspects of the game, from the action bits and boss battles to puzzle solving.
Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass will be out for the DS in Europe on 19 October.
The two release dates jive with a leaked release list that made its way onto various forums over the weekend. On that list Super Mario Galaxy is listed as having a release date of 16 November, but Nintendo refused to comment on the veracity of the leaked list.
