Call of Duty 4 Demo Hits US, Europe Soon
Gun-borne joy or sorrow, depending where you are.
After finishing work on acclaimed World War II shooter Call of Duty, the developers at Infinity Ward were ready to make a clean break. They ended up making a WWII-based sequel anyway, the popular Call of Duty 2. But now the team is trying something different, and soon you'll be able to give it a try.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is Infinity Ward's updated take on the chaos of the battlefield and US gamers can test drive it now in a multiplayer beta available from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The demo, which gives players a change to try several of the new features the developers are bringing to the table, is not yet available in the UK, though Infinity Ward has confirmed that it is coming, allaying fears that it would bypass Europe altogether.
