Halo 3 is Done, Out Soon - Bungie
Less than a month to go now until the series conclusion.
Right now, in secret locations thousands of miles away, complicated DVD replicating machines are humming, cranking out millions of copies of one of the biggest games of the year: Halo 3.
Bungie said on Wednesday that the game has gone gold - that is, all work on the game has been finished and it's now entered the final manufacturing process, which will make all the discs bound for the various versions Xbox 360 owners will be taking delivery of in September.
In a post on the developer's web site, Bungie's Luke Smith wrote a message of thanks to the team at Bungie, the people at Microsoft who made the game happen and the thriving fan community around the world.
"We're a family," Smith wrote, "and we made this game for you, our extended family. We hope you like it."
Halo 3 will be out for the Xbox 360 on 25 September.
