Medal of Honor Lands on Top of UK Chart
And Tiger Woods surges back, but it's not the Xbox 360 version making all the noise.
If ever you were looking for a reason why publishers keep on cranking out World War II games you need look no further than the latest UK sales chart.
At a time when many of the top shooter series are turning their temporal eye on more modern events, EA's latest WWII game, Medal of Honor: Airborne, sticks to what it does best, and the public has rewarded it by sending the game straight to the front of the chart, booting out BioShock and thundering stablemate Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 in the process.
Speaking of Tiger Woods, the latest game in the popular golfing series is up a few places this week, and that's thanks to the Wii version, which handily outsold the one on the Xbox 360, despite the latter game bringing significant new features to the greens and fairways.
The reign of the new generation of family friendly games is also far from over. Not only do Nintendo's Brain games stick around near the top of the charts this week, but EA has one too - the latest Sims 2 expansion pack, Bon Voyage.
