New Look for DS
Nintendo shows off a new silver model for Europe.
Nintendo is gussying up its best-selling DS with a new colour of the portable coming to Europe in October.
Starting from Friday, 12 October, you'll be able the buy the DS Lite in a swish new silver colour for £99. This brings to four the colours of the DS Lite rainbow, the others being black, white and pink.
The DS has been a big winner for Nintendo. Since its European introduction in March 2005, the DS has already sold more than 14 million units in the region - most of those in the last year or so, since Nintendo launched the slimmed down DS Lite.
Part of the success is Nintendo's shift in focus away from the traditional gamer. New titles such as Nintendogs and Brain Training have sold millions of copies by appealing to a new audience.
