Mass Effect Amplified for Limited Edition
Microsoft reveals the goodies inside the special edition of BioWare's new RPG.
Limited editions are all the rage these days as publishers seek to not only appeal to the most ardent fans but also to pad the bottom line and more quickly recoup some of the money sunk into making the game.
Microsoft has been a big proponent of special editions - witness the Legendary Edition of Halo 3, which includes a replica Master Chief helmet - and it's continuing the trend with yet another one, this time for spacebound RPG Mass Effect.
The Mass Effect Limited Edition will supplement the game with a whole load of extras, including a Mass Effect art book called A Future Imagined, a fiction book Galactic Codex: Essentials, and a second disc containing video footage that takes you into the studio to see the team at work on the game.
Whether all this is worth the upgrade is your decision, but you'll have to act soon. Mass Effect is due in stores on 23 November.
