Free Fisticuffs in Virtua Fighter 5 Demo
Though you'll have to buy the full game if you want to try out the online components.
Virtua Fighter 5 is coming to the Xbox 360 and it's bringing along a feature Sega said couldn't be done: online play.
For an idea of what the game will play like, Xbox 360 owners can now download a demo for Virtua Fighter 5 from the Xbox Live Marketplace. Though you'll be able to try the expanded Quest mode and also challenge people in your own living room, Sega has not included any online play.
The demo allows you to play with four characters from the roster, including series stalwart Akira, Sarah, Eileen and lucha libre fighter El Blaze. in three environments.
The expanded Quest mode for the Xbox 360 includes new items and more AI-controlled enemies. This version of the game will also include a new DOJO mode where you can test your skills and customize your character's abilities.
The Virtua Fighter 5 demo is up now on Xbox Live Marketplace. The full game will be out in Europe on 26 October. For more on the game from the creators themselves, check out our recent interview with Sega's AM2 development team.
