Tomb Raider Digs up Xbox 360 Date
Details on both the retail and download versions - and the PSP one too.
By most accounts this summer's remake of the original Tomb Raider for PC and PlayStation 2 was a hit, but some reviewers marked Tomb Raider Anniversary down for its unspectacular visuals. Good thing then that these have been gussied up for the Xbox 360 release later this month.
More than a decade after it debuted on the first PlayStation in 1996, Lara Croft's original adventure is headed to Microsoft's console. This faithful update of the game will be available in stores on 26 October in Europe, but if you have the patience, you can also wait until November to get it as a two-part download from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The latter option comes with one notable caveat. To be able to play the downloadable version, you'll need to have a copy of last year's Tomb Raider Legend in the tray of your Xbox 360.
Prefer to take Ms Croft on the road? No problem. Eidos also has a version of the game coming to the PSP on 26 October. A Wii version is due at some point too, though the publisher hasn't yet said when that will happen.
