Capcom Porting Okami to Wii
Use your Wii remote for brush strokes next year.
Many reviewers picked this past winter's Okami for the PlayStation 2 as one of the best games on the system, but the timing of the release wasn't there and the game got lost in the mix. Capcom will be hoping for better luck the second time around, when the game comes to the Wii.
At a press event in London this week, Capcom confirmed the long-running rumours that it was working on a Wii version of Okami, saying it would release the game before July next year, according to Eurogamer.
Okami was applauded earlier this year for its unique, watercolour art style and its Legend of Zelda-esque sense of adventure and gameplay.
One of the central elements in the game is a magical paintbrush that is used in combat and puzzles, something that should translate well to the Wii remote.
