No Early Release for Ratchet & Clank in EU
Unlike in the US, where some people are able to pick it up right now.
Of all the games hitting the PlayStation 3 this year still, one of the biggest is Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, the latest in the long-running mascot series from the creators of last year's Resistance: Fall of Man. The game has been cleared for release ahead of schedule in the US, but there's no such luck for gamers in Europe.
A spokesperson for Sony told Kikizo that, for now at least, the release date is "staying put". So don't expect to see it on shelves in Europe before 9 November.
The comments come after Sony said last week that, despite an official release date of 30 October in the US, some retailers there were already starting to sell the game.
Sony's Greg Phillips wrote on PlayStation.Blog that, "due to some unexpected quickness at the factory, a vast majority of retailers have already received the game. With that, some retailers are choosing to release the game next week instead of waiting until the 30th, which we are all too happy to allow :)"
Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction is the first PS3 outing for the destructive pair and mixes big (and some kooky) guns with interplanetary exploits in developer Insomniac's second game on the system.
