Top Gear Shifts Into Gran Turismo 5
Clarkson and Co added in video form, test track coming as a download.
The BBC's worldwide hit car show Top Gear is coming to Gran Turismo 5 on the PlayStation 3 in 2008.
The first part of the crossover is the show itself, which will be made available for download straight to your PS3. The BBC will be providing 40 episodes of the motoring antics of the Top Gear team for viewing on Gran Turismo TV - an online video channel that'll keep you updated on all the happenings in the motoring world.
You'll be able to touch the show in a more direct way too. The developers at Polyphony Digital have turned their track-capturing equipment onto Top Gear's own test track, which will be put up for download.
Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of Gran Turismo and a big fan of Clarkson and Co., said, the team is "sure that players will be as thrilled as we are when they get the chance to put their own driving skills to the test on the Top Gear Test Track in GT5, as well as enjoying classic episodes of Top Gear via GT TV."
Gran Turismo 5 is the first instalment in the long-running driving game series for the PlayStation 3. It's coming sometime in 2008, though you'll get a taster of it in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, which will be available as a download or in stores soon.
