Lair Grounded, But Only Briefly
Unspecified problems holding the game back.
Sony's new dragon game Lair for the PlayStation 3 will not be taking off this week as was originally planned.
"Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the launch of Lair has been delayed very slightly," a spokesperson for the company said on Thursday.
The spokesperson would not say exactly what caused the delay but it appears that it's not related to any extra work being done on the game.
Lair is a flight game in which players use the PS3 Sixaxis controller to fly dragons around a medieval world. The game was released in the US in late August already to mostly average reviews.
Factor 5, the creators of the game, said after the first reviews came out that perhaps reviewers were too hard on the game because of its extensive use of motion controls.
Julian Eggebrecht, the director of the game, even went so far as to tell MTV in September that he thought the whole project was haunted.
