House of the Dead Opens Doors to Wii
Sega's shooter series gets physical thanks to Wii Zapper.
With the Wii Zapper coming out soon, publishers are no doubt rummaging through their archives looking for games that can be given another run around the track. One such firm is Sega, which has announced that it's reviving House of the Dead in a new edition for the Wii.
House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return does what it says, combining both House of the Dead 2 and House of the Dead III in one package for the Wii. The zombie-shooter brings together all the features that made the arcade game so popular, including co-operative two-player modes. It has also been reworked to use the Wii Zapper.
The Wii Zapper includes a gun-shaped housing for both the Wii Remote and the nunchuck attachment. Nintendo is planning to release the Zapper with Link's Crossbow Training, a shooting game based on last year's Wii hit Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
The Wii Zapper will be released in Europe on 7 December and House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return will be in stores sometime next spring.
