FIFA 08 Does a Million
EA's football game leaps to the front for 2007.
A quick look at the most recent list of UK top-sellers shows EA's football juggernaut FIFA 08 sitting pretty in the Top 5 again. In fact, it's doing even better than that.
According to GameSpot, EA has revealed that FIFA 08 is the first million-seller in the UK for 2007, which would put it ahead of some of the biggest games of this generation, including Halo 3, BioShock and even rival title Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.
No doubt FIFA 08 was helped along by its wide release, which saw the game published on all portable, mobile, home and PC platforms. Leading the way most recently is the PlayStation 2 version - No. 18 in the most recent ranking, well ahead of the Xbox 360 (39) and PSP (40) editions.
