Barlog Promises Epic God of War III
Cory Barlog may have left Sony but his guidance that made GoW2 so stunning will return for the trilogy finale.
Cory Barlog isn't at Sony's studio in Santa Monica anymore and he's not the guy wearing the director's hat in the God of War III team either. But that's not to say that his touch won't be felt in the PS3 game.
Writing on his blog this week, Barlog said that before leaving Sony in 2007, he spent time working on the story that wraps up the tale of Kratos.
"Immediately after I finished God of War II I was already working on the story and design for the third game. So when Sony and I finally did part ways the foundation of the game, along with story that completes the arc we began in God of War, was complete," Barlog writes on his blog, adding that fans can expect some special in the closer.
"The story is going to finish off with a very big, very epic bang though. I think everyone will be quite pleased."
Until now, Sony has kept quiet on its third God of War game. It was only in late 2007, in a soothing announcement following Barlog's departure from Sony, that the company admitted that the game was in production.
As yet, Sony has not said when it's planning to put out God of War III, but Kratos fans will be able to see the god in action when his new PSP game, God of War: Chains of Olympus, arrives later this year.
